Brownfield Optimization & Well Fracturing
The Brownfield Optimization initiative focuses on extending the high-yield operational lifespan of established producing reservoirs. New producing assets achieved maximum production levels since the beginning of their development – 22.0 mmt from the Vankor field, 8.2 mmt from the Verkhnechonskoye field, and 10.0 mmt from the Uvat project.
The company continued to stabilize brownfield output primarily through intelligent water flood surveillance and drilling directional wells with multistage hydraulic fracturing, reversing natural depletion curves across major extraction blocks.
Technical Highlights & Milestones:
- 22.0 MMT peak extraction achieved from Vankor field
- 445 new production wells brought into operation
- Water flood efficiency improved by 28%
- Substantial slowing of natural decline rates
Mature producing reservoirs experienced rising water cut and pressure drawdowns, threatening field sustainability without specialized intervention.
Engineered multi-cluster fracturing completions with synthetic proppants, coupled with dynamic reservoir simulation models to re-energize depleted hydrocarbon horizons.
